Dear all,

Well done for finding our site! Chestnut Productions are building a Global Local Music Scene to bridge the gaps left by the mainstream music media. Having travelled to the places the music industry never goes, we are the Bible for anyone interested in the current state of world music. Also, Chestnut Productions is a web and graphic design company taking work from around the globe. Our team of writers and musicians are looking to share their talents with the worldwide media audience. Let me explain further if you please…

Chestnut Productions started in February 2006 with Leeds band Tigers That Talked, web and graphic designer Robert Harrison and a few UK writers. They were all excited with the uniqueness of local music scenes and disenchanted by the modern mainstream media. Chestnut Productions set out to bridge the gap between globalism and localism.

In November 2006 to April 2007 the team went abroad to capture the state of the ‘Global Local Music Scene’ (also known as GLOCAL). Chestnut Productions have documented the story of 45 artists in seven countries describing the state of world music and media today. We wish to share their story on a global scale through this site as well as a feature documentary and journalistic outlets.

The site is currently under development whilst editing and funding for our next trip goes on. However, contact us for any design work or if you want to know more about our Global Local Music Scene. Why not join the 45 artists and 15 media outlets that are part of our worldwide outfit. We are promoting Tigers That Talked and 44 other artists, but we want more to join our unique community. We are a company who travels to the places the music industry never goes to… there are no boundaries in our local music scene.
